Steve graduated from Menlo School of Business Administration with a bachelor’s in business administration. He also studied law at Willamette University. Steve has earned the Certified Retirement Counselor® Designation from the International Foundation for Retirement Education at Texas Tech University. He is also a graduate of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Northwest Oregon Association (NAIFA) Leadership in Life Institute (LILI).
Steve is passionate about his assisting clients attain their financial goals, knowing he’s had a hand in the life choices they can and do make. In 1965, Steve began working in investments and in 1973 established Forman Investment Company in Salem. Before joining Rosenbaum Financial in 2001 as a certified retirement counselor, Steve gained decades of experience in the finance industry. His prior companies and posts include at Jewett Investment Company as a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. as an account executive and retirement planning specialist, Wells Fargo Bank as an investment officer, and Key Bank/McDonald Investments as an investment executive.
When away from the office, Steve enjoys digging, whether it’s into the ground or an excellent book, both nonfiction and fiction. He is past president of the Oregon Archeology Association and serves on its board. After Tolstoy’s “War and Peace” spent years on his personal must-read list, he finally dug deep and completed it. Additional work serving the community includes volunteer positions with Catlin Gabel School, and American Jewish Committee (America’s oldest human-rights organization).
A grandfather of four, Steve considers his family his proudest accomplishment.
